I was at a track day yesterday in my toy car (an early 80s 5.0l Holden Commodore racecar) and there was a guy there with a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (the LSA powered supercharged job).

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

First off, big ups to him for using it like it's meant to be used. You don't often see new cars at track days in my neck of the woods, apart from high end exotica. I is impressed.

Second off, I was surprised to find I could hold him on the straights. He's gotta be carrying 1/3 more hp than me. Guess that means he's carrying 1/3 more lard too - welcome to the modern world.

As you can tell from my name I am very keen to hear about your 308.

81 VC. Wearing the Brock SS body kit, but not a genuine SS - spent its first few years of life as a 4 cyl.

308 with ally heads, Group A cam, etc, etc. A little overbored, standard stroke. Wet sump. Reasonably worked, but not "rebuild it every 3rd race" hot - 390hp at the hubs.

Super T10 box, 4 spider Salisbury diff in the standard Holden live axle, 11" Willwoods at the front, semi-slicks on C4 Corvette wheels.

One of the slower cars in the muscle car series I race in, though that's mostly the driver :-)

I visited Australia this summer and was lucky enough to go see the Holden Utes and Commodores at the Sydney Holden Dealer and I'm pretty sure there was a GTS. I love Australian cars
